The Palamidi Championship takes its name from the historic fortress of Palamidi, which dominates over Nafplio, symbolizing centuries of history, endurance and heroism.

At the same time, it honors Palamedes, the legendary hero of Greek mythology, son of King Nafplio, who stood out for his intelligence, strategic thinking and fighting spirit.

With this name, the championship seeks to connect combat sports with the values of strength, perseverance and resourcefulness, which embody both the fortress of Palamidi and Palamidi himself.https://argolidalife.gr/ekdiloseis/to-18o-palamideio-protathlima-machitikon-athlimaton-erchetai-sto-nafplio/
